One day.'Ĭompetition Repetition- Yes, i'll admit to saying earlier that the competitions were exciting to watch, and I stick by it. Even now I find myself thinking, 'oh, poor potato man. and fails. to get a date with Azuma's mum, being stopped at every turn by either Azuma 's teasing or his mum's complete ignorance (whether intentional or accidental we'll never know.) to his advances. However, the comedy award has to go to 'potato man' (Azuma's words, not mine), who never fails to make me cry with laughter as he attempts. Out of the clubs members, Azuma in particular has some very funny moments, especially when the afforementioned girl pops up every now and again to give a 'do it your best!'. However this show does not forget the comedy element which draws in so many viewers to shows such as Hana Kimi and Ouran. Heartwrenching yet Hilarious- As with all Japanese dramas the plotlines of this show are based heavily on character devleopment and so, of course, you may end up crying more than once as one character overcomes their issues, just before another character does the same, followed by another., followed by. Even the inevitable competitions that every sports based show builds up to are exciting to watch, if only because the tumbling is done so well. I don't think there's anything more amazing than several ikemen (let's be honest with ourselves here :P), in spandex (don't judge me.), hopping about and tumbling like nobody's business. Unlike baseball shows, which as an English person are completely lost on me, I don't find myself switching off whenever the sports element of the show presents itself. Finally, a show NOT about baseball- Whichever way you look at it, a show all about rythmic gymnastics certainly is something new, and I think it works.
